Thanks for reading, Paul. All IS a tough ask. So the question becomes who are we comfortable leaving out? The student with a disability? The kid who has behaviour issues as a result of a trauma event? The insecure student who is constantly looking for approval? I understand what you are saying, but I don’t think teachers get to play the “chemistry” card. I think we have a moral imperative to find empathy for every child. Easy to say, difficult to do.
